What paperwork do I need to bring for our first appointment?
All envelopes marked important tax papers. Examples; W-2 forms, W-4 forms, 1099 form, 1040 form, 1099 form, 1040 form etc.
Direct Deposit: If you wish to have your refund direct deposited please either have your bank routing and account number with you if meeting face-face or attached in your drop-off envelope.
Received Unemployment Benefits? If so, have access on phone to 1099G or bring with you to appointment.
Robinhood Securities or Acorn Securities: If you use either of these please bring in a printed copy of your 1099 with all of your transactions
I am currently going through bankruptcy. What paperwork do I need to bring in?
Same as question #1. You will also need a signed copy from your attorney.
Can I drop off my tax documents?
You may drop off your documents anytime the building is open. Normal business hours during tax season may very. Please call us to check daily hours at 219-926-9700.
Envelopes are provided outside my door for your documents. Please slide the envelopes under my door for next business day processing.
Please print and fill-out the Appointment Tax Organizer PDF and attached it your tax paperwork when dropping off.
I am currently unemployed or I have received unemployment compensation. What paperwork do I need to bring in?
You will need to access your 1099-G form on your unemployment account online. You can either print it and bring it with you or pull it up on your phone during your appointment.
Please also print and fill-out the Appointment Tax Organizer PDF before your scheduled appointment.
How long does a typical visit usually take?
The average appointment runs between 15 to 30 minutes.
